3 Rivers 2023 Holiday Giving Catalog GOAL REACHED!

3 Rivers Community Foundation is helped us raise money for our 2024 Fueling Connections Program.

We were were one of two charities that reached our goal on this fund rasing platform.  THANK YOU to all that supported this.

For some veterans, paying for gas limits spending time with the ones they love.  We have a wonderful place for these families and friends to gather and build some memories, and we don’t want gas money to be a barrier.  Please help us remove this barrier for up to 100 local veterans and their families.

100% of the funds raised with go toward fuel gift cards to be distributed to local veterans in need.    Sharing experiences together is healing for everyone involved.

We are an all-volunteer organization so every penny of your gift will go directly to this program.  No overhead!

November 2023 – Pipe Hitters Motorcycle Club – Parabellum Chapter presented Friends of Disabled Veterans another incredible gift of $17,334 towards the lodge construction.  This is an amazing group of men and women.  Tons of work went into their fund-raising event and dozens of patriots had a great time and were very generous with their gifts of energy and resources.  Thank you to everyone involved.  Special shout out to the volunteers and to the Tin Hat in Kennewick for hosting the finale.  We appreciate you!

GESA Hero's Grant

November 18, 2022 Friends of Disabled Veterans was chosen by GESA Community Foundation as a recipient of Gesa Credit Union’s Local Heroes Grant Award, receiving $50,000 in funding. With the award money, Friends of Disabled Veterans plans to complete the accessible outdoor archery range, and related pathways.

“Gesa is committed to serving the dedicated heroes our community relies on across Washington,” said Don Miller, President and CEO of Gesa Credit Union. “We’re thrilled to honor the valuable, community-building work that Friends of Disabled Veterans is doing, and we thank them for their selfless efforts in serving our community.”

Gesa’s Local Heroes Grant Program offers funding to organizations that assist Local Heroes in Washington, such as firefighters, healthcare workers, law enforcement, teachers and veterans. This year, 43 organizations were awarded through the program.

“We are so thankful for GESA’s continued support!” states Khris Beyer, Senior Operations Director. “These funds bridge the gap of our previous fundraising activities. With this, our ADA friendly archery range will be completed.” Veterans who utilize the facility will benefit from wide, smooth walkways, a covered archery range, and ADA accessible targets. “The archery range is just another way to bring the veteran and those that matter most to them, closer together through shared outdoor experiences.”
