Veterans often have difficulty assimilating back into everyday life, with many suffering from PTSD and succumbing to suicide. We want our service men and women to know that we appreciate them and care enough to offer an outlet through friendship, fellowship, and activities with friends, families, and fellow service men/women who genuinely care.
We need your help in giving back to our heroes that have given and sacrificed so much. Anything you can contribute will help us reach our goal!

Current Volunteer Opportunities
April 27 Earth Day at the Ranch - In celebration of Earth Day, we are looking for volunteers to help with several projects at the Ranch between 9 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.. Use the "Contact Us Now!" button below, to sign up.
Fishing Guides - We putting together a spring fishing derby for at least six veterans. Each veteran will have a guest of their choice join them to create a team. If you are licensed guide and would like to be part of this fun event, please email khris@friendsofdisabledveterans.org.
Golf Tournament Volunteers - We are looking for golf minded volunteers to support our 3rd annual Golf Tournament Fund Raiser on July 19th, 2024 at Canyon Lake Golf Course. If you would like to help, please contact Lori Wenner at GOLF4FODV@gmail.com.
Master Gardeners - Landscape Architects - We are looking individuals with horticulture and irrigation knowledge to help us design and build our memorial garden at the Ranch. We envision an accessible garden that would allow veterans and their families to plant, tend, learn and manage the therapeutic experience of a creating a beautiful desert garden.
Playground Engineers and Craftspeople - Are you a creative problem solver? Help us design a playground that is more than accessible. A place where an amputee can push their child on a swing or help them up and down a slide.
Trail Cutters - Do you enjoy hiking? We are looking for individuals or a group to help us plan and create 5 miles of accessible hiking paths with brail makers.
