Fueling Connections July 3, 2025
On July 3rd from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (location to be announced that morning), we will be giving away ten gallons of gas to any veteran that can show proof of service.
Fuel costs can be a barrier, preventing people from connecting with the ones they love. So we are offering Veterans a little help right before the holiday.
Limit ten gallons of fuel per veteran, per vehicle while funds last.

Volunteer Day June 20, 2025
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
We would love some help at the Veterans Ranch in Prosser, weeding, weed whacking, tree grooming, and placing mulch. General beautification maintenance. Bring a friend, water bottle, work gloves, and an eager helping heart to make a difference.
If you have a weed eater or a brush hog, that would be helpful too.

Shotgun Start at 1:00 p.m., team of 4 players is $700 and includes dinner.

Now you can register or sponsor on a new platform we are trying this year called Givebutter. To register a team or become a sponsor, click the "Donate & Tickets" button at the link above. Make your selections and upon checkout the platform will ask you for a "tip". This is OPTIONAL. You can zero it out or leave a platform tip. This function allows us to use the platform for free. Tips do not go to Friends of Disabled Veterans. This is an OPTIONAL platform fee.
You can also choose not to pay on-line, simply check the box that you would like to pay by check. You can still complete the registration or sponsorship on-line.

Visit the Ranch - by appointment
The Ranch is available to veterans and their families with a reservation on the Saturdays listed below. Must have at least four attendees in order to open.
We've opened an accessible "Ranch" dedicated to veterans and their loved ones, on 140 acres in Prosser, Washington. This special sanctuary is envisioned to be a place where veterans and their families can make memories together.
We're inviting veterans to sign up for a time to visit the Ranch. By reserving a time, you'll also help us coordinate volunteers who are eager to assist you during your visit.

*Upon reservation acceptance detailed instructions and directions will be provided via email or text.
Activities
Archery: Setup with full ADA accessibility along with targets for sighting in and getting familiar with this type of equipment.
You're also welcome to visit the garden or use the five miles of hiking trails. No motorized vehicles are permitted.

Halloween Fun at the Ranch October 26, 2024
Veterans and their guests are invited to join us for some family friendly Halloween Fun! Wear your costumes and participate in fun outdoor activities. We will be giving archery lessons using pumpkins for targets! Don't for get corn hole, our potato gun, and a catapult!

McCurley Subaru of Yakima Grand Opening October 6, 2024
McCurley Subaru is celebrating the grand opening of their new Subaru store located at 20 Adelyn Way in Union Gap (across from Costco). They invited Friends of Disabled Veterans to join them to share our mission with the community. Come by and see us at their beautiful new dealership!
